Frances Grout-Brown

Urban Practitioner

About

Frances is an urban planner with experience in urban research, regional and marine land use studies, and community housing strategies. At TSPA, she is leading the collaboration on regional spatial development strategies in Georgia and contributes to co-visioning the future of carbon-neutral cities in Europe. Her approach is influenced by her earlier work with Indigenous partners in northern environments, in the development of solutions that evolve and adapt to changing and difficult climate conditions, costly infrastructure, dispersed urbanisation, and cultural heritage. She recognises the importance of contextualised and community-driven strategies and understands the complexities in a multi-stakeholder environment.
