About

Laura is an urbanist specialising in urban transformation processes and social science urban research. At TSPA, she leads projects on risk-informed master planning in India, the office’s contribution to the process of creating a new vision in the Berlin-Brandenburg area, and conducts research on integrated urban development and affordable housing as part of an international knowledge exchange between German and American cities. Her work is characterised by a fascination for the interdisciplinary interplay of urban planning and functional, socio-political, cultural and economic perspectives in planning, which got shaped by previous experiences within the Netherlands or South America. The combination of different perspectives, the moderation of complex public relations and participation are essential components of her work experience. Laura believes that urban society issues should always be considered holistically, presented in an understandable way and discussed in an interdisciplinary manner in order to develop the best possible solutions.
