DeutschWe are happy to announce that TSPA’s founder and director, Thomas Stellmach, is starting a new position as Visiting Professor at Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg.
Together with Julia Binder, Thomas will take part of the Urban Design and Urban Studies chair in the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Planning.
His work will focus on Urban Systems: The city is a system of various material, cultural and human flows. How do these flows define urban space? How does urban planning and design practice affect, condition, and react to these flows? They will investigate this in a series of research by design studios.
As part of his plan for the next semester, he will prioritise the internationalisation of the faculty’s programme and teach and research towards a systemic understanding of the forces and processes that shape our constructed environment.
